Ease of use:
I expected that a foam applicator would be supplied with this product, but fortunately I found a suitable one locally. I read other reviews which said it didn't have the traditional telltale smell of other makes, but I found that it did have a strong smell, which still remained after showering. It did produce a good natural looking colour.
I love He-Shi, as it's easy to use and best of all doesn't smell horrid!
My husband always complains when I use fake tans - moaning that I smell of 'biscuits' and it's obvious that I've used fake tan due to the smell.
Well not with He-Shi - it doesn't have that smell, so you don't have to be paranoid that somebody will sniff you out!
I use it with the mitt, which is perfect as you can get a really easy all over tan. And the fact it's coloured means that you can see where it's going.
Be warned - it's very runny - so put the mitt on and make a cup with your hand. Pour some liquid into the cupped-mitt so you don't spill any. Let it soak into the mitt a bit (I find scrunching you hand up tighter usually does the trick) and then apply just by rubbing the mitt up and down your skin. That way it won't run down your leg (or worse onto the floor).
It's really nice and easy to apply (and with the mitt I can also convince my husband to do my back - as he knows he won't get his hands dirty!)
