I bought this after seeing a lot of hype on the internet and I completely agree with it all!

This is a fabulous lip balm that has kept my lips super soft throughout the cold autumn and winter. It's quite thick so I tend to slap on a generous amount before bedtime. It also leaves a completely matte finish so sometimes i'll pop it on under a lipstick that I find to be a bit drying as it doesn't alter the finish.

As for the scent, yum! Smells just like honey and lemon.

The packaging is great too, a lovely sturdy jar that looks great on my dresser and can be popped in to my handbag without fear of it being damaged.

When I bought this it had been reduced but i'd still purchase it at full price. It's going to last me a very very long time though so I wont need to buy one anytime soon.

This is the perfect overnight balm for extremely chapped lips. I have always suffered from dry lips and found I was constantly applying balms throughout the day or my lips would be left cracked and sore. Until I started using this! You only need a tiny amount of product to create a thick layer that lasts all night. By morning all the product has disappeared leaving my lips super moisturised ALL DAY. This is now the only balm I need to use. Wouldn't be without it.

I absolutely love this lip balm, because it is so much more than just a lip balm! In the past I have spent between £30 to under a £1 in my search for the holy grail of lip balms and this one comes close! Lets start off with the packaging, simple but effective, it comes in a beautiful frosted glass pot which feels nice and weighty. The screw lid is great and nice and secure, no worries about it leaking or coming undone in your bag. It opens up to a little pot of gold, the smell is like sweet lemons and honey and is a lovely colour. Now, even though it is a pot and not a stick, I do not find this an issue unlike other potted lip balms. This is because the balm is set deeper just below the top, so it doesn't get all cacky. The actual balm is at first like a cream but then melts onto your lips and feels lovely and silky. It is not sticky or tacky like lip gloss but simply moisturising, it settles in really quickly and gives an ultra soft sheen to the lips making them look healthy and natural. Even though the balm is yellow this is no problem when it is applied. I have had my little pot for a few months now and use it at least twice a day and it is still quite full, a little goes a long way and it lasts for ages too. Since using this balm, even during the winter, I have not had any dry skin or cracked lips at all!! I will say if you do not like the smell at first, don't be put off because once it is on, you can hardly smell it. All in all a fantastic little product and in my opinion one of Frances' best kept beauty secrets! Thanks to Escentual, you don't have to speak the language of love to have beautifully kissable lips!

Although I'm willing to spend high on facial skincare, I was less eager to splash out close to £10 on a lip balm. However, this is really worth it!

This honeyed wonder is a real treat for the lips. Used at night, I wake up with plumped, superbly conditioned lips that hold my day's lipstick perfectly. It's a bit like shape wear knickers for your lips!

Another bonus is it's delicious gourmand flavour, both honey and herbs give a very natural feel to this luxe product, add to this a rich, thick texture and you've got something much more exciting than a lip balm. It's a real anti-aging treat to bring back my long gone teenage pout. Wonderful stuff!
