Having used and loved the Effaclar H moisturiser from LRP, I thought I would give this one a try. I was not disappointed. The same pleasant, unobtrusive fragrance and a beautiful texture that melts instantly into the skin, leaving a gorgeous velvety feel which provides an excellent base for make up.
I use it as a daytime moisturiser when there is little sun, or for when I know I'll be indoors. It moisturises brilliantly, leaving my skin feeling soft and supple, and still completely matt. It also keeps my foundation in place even in my problem T-zone area (a rare feat) eliminating the need for a separate primer.

been using it for about a month now !! after using bunch of other brands that NEVER work till I dropped here !! the best drop ever :D I ve bought the whole range of effaclar !! and this cream makes the work DONE my face is oil free all day long till night :) never been happier !!

I apply this product as a moisturiser/ primer just before foundation or base and I find it very effective for shine control. It sinks in very quickly into the skin once applied and mattifies the skin immediately. Really easy to use and effective! I highly recommend it!

I have the oiliest temple ever, it could probably win an award for it's greasiness. I always powder it in the morning and within an hour it's already shining away.
I had heard some good things about Effaclar Mat, and decided to try it as I have used and loved other La Roche Posay products for a while now.
The moisturiser has a gel-like texture which isn't what I was expecting but is still great. I really do only need a pea sized amount, if that, and I have a huge head. It soaks into the skin really quickly and immediately mattifies my skin. It also slightly reduces pore size, they don't disappear, but it's an improvement.
If used alone, this keeps my face matte all day no problem, however under make up (which it makes a great base for by the way!) it's more like until lunchtime. Considering how long I can last with a normal primer, this is a vast improvement.
I sometimes suffer from dry patches around my nose and I have sensitive skin, but this doesn't irritate either. In fact, it somehow seems to moisturise my dry nose, so isn't drying like a lot anti-shine products.
Overall, I can really recommend this and have already ordered another for when this one runs out.
