I use this in the day on the cheeks of my combination skin. It gives really great lasting hydration whilst making skin look smooth and matified. The only thing I would say is I'm not sure how much of an effect it is having on pore size but I've only used it for two weeks. Although it is not spot treatment it hasn't caused a break out once and is great for my sensitive skin. I'm using effaclar duo on my t-zone to clear up my acne but hopefully use this all over once the acne has completely cleared which it looks like it will!
I love the Effaclar range and this moisture was great at combating my oiliness and shine but it just didn't feel moisturising enough. I only used it in the morning because of this reason and had to reach for an alternative moisturiser instead. Also when the product was almost empty, I really struggled at getting any product out and I had to take the lid of and bang it on my hand.
I have been using this for 6 months, and it has really enabled me to control my combination skin. The gel-creme formula sinks into skin and leaves a soft, matte finish that feels moisturised and is a perfect base for make up. I am on my second bottle - and am about to purchase my third. Best mattifying moisturiser i've tried.

As with all skin products, you have to find what works for you. Having recently discovered La Roche Posay, I've definitely found my skin care range for LIFE however this product wasn't quite right for me.
I have combination skin in the truest sense of the word where I have nasty acne prone areas which are oily, but also my skin can dry out very easily and peel and flake in other areas. For this reason I wanted a light moisturiser so as not to encourage spots but also rich enough to help the dry patches. This one was ok but definitely better suited to much more oily skin types I think. Though it did moisturise, was light on my face, and smelt ok, a lot of the time it didn't really sink into my skin and on occasion actually accentuated my dry areas, flaking off a bit and not helping my skin look good, rather than rectifying the problem as I'd hoped.
So, for those with my skin type I'd recommended using the Effacalar K as a form of moisturiser instead (and all round wonder product), or the La Roche Posay Moisturising Cream for Sensitive Skin - just as light but smells nicer and sinks in better in those drier places.
