I have been using several other items in the range and I have noticed my skin starting to become a little drying with the change in weather so decided to add some moisture to my skin over night with this cream.
The cream smells pleasant and goes on well, however it doesn't seem to fully absorb into the skin, leaving a shiny which is almost like an oil like appearance on the surface. Which if you were using it during the day could be not ideal. Not up to scratch and not to their usual standard.

Soothing cream, but not moisturising enough for me
I bought this along with other La Roche-Posay Effaclar products to try and combat the spots that just keep coming, even though I'm in my late 30s!? I have combination/spot prone skin that is sensitive and becomes irritated by the more powerful spot lotions. I have been using the Effaclar mosturiser on a daily basis along with the La Roche-Posay Effaclar face wash and occasionally the toner. Initially, I thought that it was wonderful, my skin felt tight and clean, yet mtoisturised and soft - and best of all my face wasn't shiny! However, with continuous usage I am finding that it doesn't 'moisturise' my spot prone areas which have become dryer as a result of using the other La Roch-Posay Effaclar products. I now mix it with a small amount of a 'heavier' moisturiser before applying it to my face and I love it all over again!

I've had acne for half my life now and I was finally prescribed something that actually made a world of difference. My dermatologist put me on roaccutane and recommended I use effaclar h to compensate for the dryness these tablets would cause. This is the best face cream I've used as it leaves my skin feeling moisturised without any greasiness. Highly recommended for people with dehydrated skin!

My skin used to be oily before using topical acne prescription which caused my skin to turn pretty dry at certain areas; applying foundation directly over my skin will accentuate the dry patches and make it look cakey. However with this, my foundation goes on smoothly and it keeps me moisturized without looking oily throughout the day. I'm on my 2nd tube and will continue to repurchase!
