I have been using the original Effaclar duo for about 6 months now, so I was interested to try this new version. It is slightly more cream like in consistency (the old one was more gel-like) but sinks in as a gel would without leaving your skin feeling tight. I prefer this new consistency.

It's as effective as the old one and claims to also reduce the marks left from blemishes. It certainly does seem to do this, though i'm not sure if it's any better than the old one at doing it as I didn't really pay attention to that property before!

At any rate - a nice cream for day or night use that improves skin texture and keeps spots at bay.

I've been a fan of the original Effaclar Duo for about 6 months now and have never found anything like it for sorting out the clogged pores on my forehead. I've always had all these little skin coloured bumps that really annoyed me and yet no skincare product removed them (and I've tried things a lot pricier than Effaclar Duo) and because they're raised, makeup did nothing to cover them up. And yet within a few weeks of using Effaclar Duo the majority of them were gone.

When I found out the Effaclar Duo [+] was being released, honestly I wasn't that happy. I've had experiences in the past with new 'improved' versions of products being released that ended up being worse than the original. However this ended up being a pleasant surprise.

I wouldn't say there was a huge difference between the two. This definitely does everything the old one did for me and with that alone I would have been happy. However I've found that since switching to this one the old marks from spots have been fading quicker than usual as well. Including some particularly stubborn red marks that have literally been hanging around for months now.

Out of all the skincare products I adore and use daily this is by far the cheapest and yet really does have a noticeable effect on my skin relatively quickly. I also do start getting more clogged pores when I get lazy and stop using it so it really is a permanent addition to my daily routine.

I always keep one in my home, as it's perfect to cure acne! I recommended to many of my friends, who have been bothered by spots for several years. And most of them appreciate it!
