After having a terrible time with my blemishy, spotty skin, I googled an effective product to use. I had previously used TONS of products specifically designed to tackle spots and red scarring for teenage skin (despite being in my 20s!) and I found them to be awfully drying and as a consequence, my skin would produce more oil and voila, more spots. So thrifting though my Google search, I found many people recommending products for oily skin, something I didn't really consider beforehand. I obviously found mega expensive products but was so reluctant to part with my money on a whim. However, La Roche Posey was a name that was frequently appearing on forums and reviews and I was thrilled when I found it on this site. I purchased the foaming gel, this cleanser and the Effaclar Duo so that I could have a cleanse, tone, moisturise cycle. I put this product onto a cotton pad (best for a controlled wipe across the face) and started on my forehead/T Zone. Straight away, I noticed a difference in how the product cleansed. It seemed to seep into the skin rather than wash over it and I could feel it submerging into the pores. I used another cotton pad over the same area until the pad came back clean. The great thing about using a cotton pad is that you can use the back of it too WITHOUT adding more product. Just make sure you had enough on the first side when first applying. I typically use 3/4 pads on the face, start at forehead, one for either side of the face and a final one for all over. I wash my face at night then use this and again in the morning. You'd be suprised how much dirt you find on your skin overnight! Just be careful not to do it more than that - you can over cleanse your skin and remove the important oils. My face feels fresh, NOT DRY, as though the excess oil has been sucked up into the pad. And because this product doesn't leave your face craving a bit of moisture, your skin doesn't end up producing that excess oil again. So, voila, the spots are vanishing!
My Product Recommendations
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel 200ml
I have been a long time lover of Clinique's Clarifying lotion but I started to feel my skin was getting too used to it, and it suddenly was no longer as effective as it used to be, so I was on the hunt for something similar. After falling in love with the Effaclar Duo +, I was browsing the rest of the range to see if anything caught my eye and this stood out. It works in a similar way to the clarifying lotion, but I think it is a touch less drying and of course cheaper which is 2 big plus points! The smell is not great, but it is an alcohol based toner so I didn't expect it to smell like anything else. I have always preferred to use a liquid than an actual scrub as although i have oily skin it is super sensitive. I would highly recommend for those who want nice smooth skin and want to keep blemishes at bay all for a reasonable price.
I bought a series products, really help my acne smallpox, and very gentle , like this brand

I use this for oil control when my skin is particularly oily, it helps prevent my T-zone from forming spots or white heads. I also use it after washing my face & make up remover, it helps get rid of any excess build up might be blocking my pores from the make up keeping my skin nice and clear!
