I recently purchased this as there was no stock of the physiological soothing toner. I have combination skin and quite often have some annoying blemishes that pop up just in time for important events. I always use toner after (triple) cleansing my skin, I use either the bioderma cleanser or the la roche posay dermo cleanser, i find these all work seemlessly together followed by toner and effaclar duo. Within days I could see a marked improvement in the oiliness of my t-zone and the amount of blackheads and blemishes I had. It's not a miracle worker, nor are many skincare products, but I can honestly see an improvement in the appearance of my skin. If I had to give it a negative it'd be that it is quite alcohol heavy, so I wouldn't recommend using it on the eye area, for that i still used the physiological, which may seem like a hassle but i use both in conjunction now and my skin has improved.
Contains LHA (Lipo hydroxy acid) and is terrific to clear skin from blackheads. It aids me to keep my baby soft and clear complexion, along with the LRP Effaclar duo and Effaclar Foaming Gel. Unclogs pores, gives a gentle yet effective chemical peel. Doe not sting skin, there is no redness, no tightness - just beautifully radiant and clear skin. Top buy.

This is the first tonerI have actually continued to use for a decent period of time. I suffer from acne and very oily skin with large blocked pores, which is what lead me to try the LRP Astringent Micro-Exfoliant Lotion. I like the fact that the toner is supposed to fight against blockages in your pores by exfoliating and controlling oil production. I cannot say I have noticed a huge difference in the amount of oil my skin produces, but I have only been using the product for a couple of weeks so far. I apply the toner to a cotton pad and wipe over the entire face, and while the skin immediately looks slightly inflamed and red, after a couple of minutes I notice that it does calm down the appearance of my skin and any red angry blemishes. So far so good!
I have extremely sensitive skin, however at the same time it is oily and I have an ongoing battle with blemishes. I have been desperately trying to find cleansers/toners which will work for my blemishes whilst still being kind to my skin. Normally any product for oily skin brings me up in a rash and results in big, red aggravated blotches on my face, so I was very weary about trying this especially as it is an astringent, however after reading the reviews I thought I'd give it shot. And I'm very glad I did. I wouldn't use it every day as I think that then it would aggravate, however after just a couple of uses it has made my pores less noticeable and dried up blemishes. A very good product.
